DCU and Matt Reeves' BatVerse to be Developed as Separate Entities

The Batman director Matt Reeves is soon meeting with co-CEOs of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran to discuss how their two universes, the DCU and what's now dubbed the BatVerse, will be developed alongside each other. Speaking to Collider, Reeves confirmed that the BatVerse - led by The Batman starring Robert Pattinson - would become its own universe separate to the reworks currently happening at DC under its new leadership. "[Gunn and Safran] have been great," Reeves said. "We're actually supposed to meet in the next few weeks because they want to talk to me about the broad plan, and then they want to hear the BatVerse plan.
